DIVA DANCE INSTRUCTORS

Wendy Schild has been teaching dance since 1988. She has a professional dance degree from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, where she was also on the Cougarette dance team, folk dance team and Dancensemble. She was a member of the Vikette dance team at Ricks College, where she also choreographed for high school dance teams. She was a member of Lilya Dance and Gymnastics for several years. She was on the Rocky Mountain Jazz and Ballet Co., and was a cheerleader and also a dancer on the Broncadette dance team in high school. She competed in gymnastics and was the overall regional champion. She has won the Director of the Year award at Open Dance National for four years (most recently 2021,2022). Her team has won the Best in Bingham award for Dance and Cheer for four years in a row.
Shanae Hitesman - has been dancing since she was two. She was on the Broncadette High School Dance Team and a Cheerleader for three years at BHS. She was a Bengal Dancer at I.S.U. for two years. Her Senior year she attended Snake-River and was the captain of the Snake River Dancers. She has made it on the All American Team for 6 years and has won numerous Queen and 1st place titles. She has performed at the Holiday Bowl and Stadium of Fire for numerous years. She has choreographed numerous dance routines and solos.
Kelsey McClellan - has been dancing since she was 3 years olds and has completed 15 years on our team. She has received numerous Queen titles and 1st place awards with her team dances and solos. She participated in the AAU Junior Olympics in Norfolk, Virginia in 2006 and brought home Gold and Silver Medals with her solo and team dances. Dance and Gymnastics have always been a huge part of her life and she now loves being able to continue at Diva Dance as an instructor. She is great instructor for our team and we have loved having her teach at our studio.

Kelly Atriano - has been dancing since she was 4 years old on our team. She made it on the All American Team at Nationals with her solo for three years in a row. She has received top awards for her solo and team dances. while on Diva Dance. She was a Pantherette for four years and placed 2nd in Districts with her solo in 2019. She is in the nursing program at Idaho State University. She loves sharing her talent and knowledge with our students and we love having her as an instructor for our team.
Tenisha Hamelin - does some choreography for Diva Dance. She competed with her first solo at age 14 months where she took Queen. She has gone to many professional dance workshops. She has performed at Disneyland twice, and also has performed in the Sugar Bowl and the Holiday Bowl, along with Stadium of Fire numerous years. She was selected to perform at a Utah Jazz basketball game. She took Gold at the AAU Junior Olympic National Championships in 2005. She took two gold medals and also received the Joel Ferrell Award to claim the Overall National Championship at the Junior Olympic Finals in 2006. At the Open Dance Nationals, she has qualified for the All American National Team for 6 consecutive years (2006-2011) and also in 2017 . She won Lyrical MVP (high point) in 2008 and 2010 along with the All American Team qualifications those years. She has choreographed numerous solos, and one of the solos she choreographed won “Best in Choreography” at Onstage Dance Classic. Tenisha was a freshman member of the Broncadette dance/drill team for Blackfoot High School, and a sophomore member of the BHS cheerleading squad. She continued cheerleading for the remainder of high school, and choreographed some dances for the cheer squad. She competed in Junior Miss and won 1st in talent with her lyrical solo, and 2nd in fitness. She was a member of the University of Idaho cheerleading squad in 2010. She received a BA in Dance Pedagogy. She won the title of "Miss Southeastern Idaho." Tenisha teaches dance in Utah.
Bobbi Lilya - Is where Diva Dance began through her owning her own studio - Lilya Dance and Gymnastics. She has trained all of our instructors at Diva Dance. She was founder and drill mistress of Ute-Tahnas (dance/drill team, University of Utah), danced in U. of U. Theatre Ballet (now Ballet West). She was a member of the Rocky Mountain Dance Teachers Association, where she held various offices. Bobbi danced with the Rocky Mountain Ballet Co. She choreographed the compulsory routines for the Regional Gymnastics competitions, numerous Junior Miss routines, school productions, etc. She has also judged Jr. Miss and dance competitions. She is no longer teaching at our studio, but is appreciated for sharing her talents and knowledge with our team.
